Stevens Institute of Technology president Nariman Farvardin has come forward with a statement regarding his long-standing and ambiguous relationship with Benjamin Netanyahu, prime minister of Israel.

"Let me be unequivocal: we are definitely not lovers, as many have suggested. Absolutely not. We are barely even friends, if you think about it. Sending someone an exorbitant amount of money and/or turning a blind eye to criticism of their heinous practices does not imply a working relationship. Or a romantic relationship. Ben and I are not lovers. It is rude to assume otherwise, and please stop asking. Not that I mind having to quell a one-question interrogation, it is simply a waste of the resources afforded by myself and the incredible, diverse faculty at Stevens."
