I've used "Scratchware" as my software and video game brand for nearly a full decade. As mentioned on the About page, that was spawned from me using Scratch as my primary development language from roughly 2015-2020.
In recent months, I've realized that Scratch has had very little influence on my work over the past four years, and using their name (and signature color) as part of my own brand doesn't sit completely right with me. In addition, I no longer want to attach the term "Scratchware" to aspects of my work that are not software-related.
Thus, Scratchware's branding will be phased out as it becomes The 3000 Company. The site's domain will remain scratchware.org for the time being, though I expect to soon change it to something akin to t3kc.org or the3000company.org.
There isn't a real method to the madness for the name, but I really find it appealing. My first album ever was named 3000 the Music simply because I liked how the words "three thousand" sounded and because the idea of using a number as a verb (?) was amusing to me. Perhaps it's the alliteration.
